The Bell Pepper Emerald Giant is a large, thick fleshed green bell pepper that sweetens and turns red on the vine. Emerald Giant is a great container variety. The peppers are about 10 cm (4”) long and about 9 cm (3 ½”) wide and grow on a plant that is about 60 cm (2ft) tall.

Adaptable to most garden soils but prefers a well-drained, well fed soil in a sunny position. Annual in temperate climates perennial in the tropics.

Capsicums require warmth for germination, if starting early provide warmth.

Sow: 6mm deep.
Grow in trays of a good seed raising mix and transplant when 6-7cm tall.
Germination: 10-14 days.

Feed with a soluble fertiliser every two weeks for stronger plants.
