Lebanese cucumbers are in fact from Pakistan from where they were taken up by Eastern Asian people who used them for offerings in temples.
The Lebanese is a short dark green; sweet crisp fleshed cucumber. It has a strong firm but thin skin which can be quite easily digested.
The fruit is most flavourful when it is 15-20cm long. Lebanese cucumbers are great for pickling and slicing raw.
Adaptable to most good garden soils that is well-drained in a sunny position; provide adequate food and water.

Best sown direct in a sunny well drained position 3-4 seeds in a mound. Thin to the strongest two plants in each mound.
