Also known as Oriental mustard greens these are very popular in Chinese and Vietnamese cooking and pickling. Mustard greens are resistant to low temperature and grow best in temperate/cool climates.

Mustard has a mild flavour that will increase in pungency as the plant matures.
Mustard Gai Choy is a heading form of mustard, a specialty vegetable known as Gai Cai in Asia. aA

This cultivar is an heirloom variety from South China much prized for its mild but distinctive flavour.

Tropical: Autumn & Winter.
Temperate: Autunm or Spring.
Cool climate: Autunm or Spring.

Sow: 5mm deep
Best sown direct in growing postion. Cover lightly and keep moist.
Plant space: 30cm
Row Space: 30cm
Germination: 5-7 days
Maturity: 6-8 weeks

Prefers moist fertile well-drained soil but grows well in almost any garden soil in a sunny position with adequate water.

Grow fast with plenty of water and regular feeds of liquid manure to avoid bitterness.
