The Tall Kangaroo Paw is a vigorous plant with perennial leaves 30-45cm metres in height and can spread to a large clump over 1 metre in diameter.
The flowers occur on tall, branched stems which can reach 2 metres. Flowering occurs in late spring to mid-summer.
Native to Western Australia.
Adaptable to most soils and positions. It is drought and frost tolerant
Although seed can be sown most of the year in Australia seed is generally best sown in spring or autumn in temperate climates, avoid the coldest and hottest months of the year. The optimum germination temperature for germination is around 18-22°C for this species.
