Verbena bonariensis, commonly known as Purpletop Vervain, grows between 90 and 120 cm tall.

Purpletop Vervain produces tall, nearly leafless branches and clusters of beautiful purple flowers. It is perfect for beds and borders and complements bright yellow and white flowers well. It is also easy to grow and blooms for a long time.
It attracts beneficial insects and butterflies.

The Royal Horticultural Society has awarded it the Award of Garden Merit for its reliable performance in the garden.
With its ability to attract pollinators. It is included in the RHS plants for pollinators list.

These plants typically drop their seeds on the soil at the end of the season, and if left undisturbed, they may germinate and grow the following season. Deadheading the flowers can prolong the blooming period.

Purpletop Vervain can thrive in most well-drained garden soils and prefers an open, sunny position. It performs exceptionally well in well-drained, ordinary soils.

A flowering plant that is native to South America
