Export

We are a registered Export Establishment with an approved Phytosanitary Officer. Our full-service export is designed to make it easy for you to import seeds to your country without any hassle. We understand that the process can be challenging, but we are here to guide you through it from start to finish.

Our services include:

• Providing guidance on the import requirements for your country
• Conducting Phytosanitary Inspection at cost
• Preparing all the necessary documents, including the phytosanitary certificate, if required
• Recommending the best shipping carrier for your country

Seed Testing

If you want to ensure the quality of your seeds, you can opt to have your seed tested. Our testing laboratory can provide Seed Analysis, germination, viability, and purity testing. Please note that some of these services may attract a charge.

We also offer independent laboratory testing if required (additional costs apply) If you require any of these services, please contact our Technologist.

Seed Pre-treatment

Australian Seed offers pre-treatment services for seeds that require it to break their dormancy and facilitate germination. Not all seeds need pre-treatment, you’ll find the ones that do on our website listing.

Cold scarification:
This mimics the natural winter conditions required for some cold-climate plants.

Hot water or scarring scarification:
This imitates the natural conditions of hot summers. Typically, hard-coated seeds from the Fabaceae family, like Acacia and others, require this type of pre-treatment.

Smoke treatment:
This simulates the chemicals in smoke from a bushfire. The price for pre-treatment services is available upon request. Please contact us for more information.

We also offer a Do-it-yourself smoke treatment product, should you wish to complete this task yourself.

Our experienced sales staff offers consultation to customers on seed selection, planting times, soil preparation, and seeding techniques based on our 45 years of expertise.
